Rosemary Stanger (1949-2024)

Rosemary Jean T, Stanger was called home to Heaven on June 7, 2024. With her family by her side at her Estate on the Blue Ridge Mountains in Bluemont, Virginia. A memorial service will be held at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Kinnear, Wyoming.

Saturday August 3rd at 10:00 am. If you were blessed to know Rosemary, she would brighten up every room she entered into and was the “life of the party.”

On November 3rd, 1949 a baby girl was born to Jean T. Stanger and USMC Master Sergeant Frank C. Stanger on the USMC base in Quantico, Virginia, they named her Rosemary Jean Theresa Stanger. She was baptized at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alexandria, Virginia.

Rosemary was a cosmetologist studied and trained in New York City by Paul Mitchel in 1968. Thereafter, she established seven successful beauty shops within Wyoming and Virginia. Rose was blessed to purchase property in the Blue Ridge Mountains off Route 7 in a little historical town of Bluemont, Virginia. To her surprise the property had a “End of the Line” Railroad Train Station that President George Washington would take the Train from the White House up to Bluemont, VA on the weekends. How cool is that!

Rosemary in turn, with help from family, friends, and salt of the earth hard work, remodeled her Bluemont Train Station back to its original form. Down the lane, on Railroad Street from the Train Station, Rosemary’s log cabin home and attached in the front of the cabin her beauty shop Rosemary’s Hair Designs.

Her family was the light of her life. She attended every rock concert she could from Woodstock and beyond. Made most of The Rolling Thunder Memorial rides to Washington DC each May. Daytona Bike week, Nascar races. Rose loved going to her river lot on the Shenandoah River up the road west 7 miles from her home in Bluemont Virginia. Mostly spending time with her family at the ocean in the summer. Winters skiing up in Jackson Hole with all her kids. Hunting the Wind River Mountains on a mule, riding her Harley and her sports cars she owned many in her life. The faster the better.

As a mother and grandmother, all the adventures we went on together as a family will never be forgotten, from Cape Hatteras, NC to the Grand Tetons. The wrestling trips you made across the country, to be mat-side and cheer her grandson’s to victory! Never missing a beat.

Every person that crossed Rosemary, Mom, Maw maw Rose, Sister, friend and or stranger was blessed in some way. She lived her life her own way and loved Jesus Christ, “Work Hard, Love hard, Play hard’. “To say the least”.

Paradise was calling you home mommy. Your footprint is in Heaven now. Rest easy till we meet again.
With all our love your kids <3
